项目选址位于太仓市里外滩时广场。避开街区的喧闹，闹中取静，以传达城市慢生活的理念。原建筑门头是灰棕色花岗岩与玻璃幕窗。除了层高较高以外，无其他有利条件，如何营造一个有趣的可感知的空间成为了本次设计的重点。
Want space to be both inclusive and open. Therefore, the space will be opened to allow interaction between indoor and outdoor. In a space with an area of only over 30 square meters, an outdoor leisure area is set aside, and the indoor and outdoor spaces are connected through the folding window of the card holder, and the inside and outside are in transition and connected with each other. This open setting eliminates the limitation of the experience boundary. Let people sitting indoors and outdoors share this leisure and romance.
室内改造前面积约80平米的挑高空间，层高4.6米，用常规方式搭建夹层，上下两层高度都会比较局促。我们很快确定了更改原楼梯动线，在竖向上寻找空间可能性的策略，在有限的空间里做到功能做大化，分划出厨房以及夹层休闲空间。需要在成本可控的范围内完成多层标高的空间营造。设计采用钢结构作为主体结构，结合上部直铺的架空实木地板，形成轻便集约的梁、柱、板结构体系，最大限度的争取了室内层高。满足了店主所需的所有空间功能。

If the mezzanine was built in a conventional way, the height of the upper and lower floors would be cramped. We quickly determined the strategy of changing the original staircase line and looking for the possibility of space vertically, so as to make the function bigger in the limited space and divide the kitchen and mezzanine leisure space. It is necessary to complete the space construction of multi-storey elevation within the controllable cost. The design adopts steel structure as the main structure, combined with the overhead solid wood floor directly laid on the upper part, to form a light and intensive beam, column and plate structure system, and strive for the maximum indoor height. Meet all the space functions required by the owner.
为了能满足城市店招管理要求的规定下做出差异化，同时又想要以更加开放、共享的姿态与其融合，我们将门头区域做了整体设计，以放置一个悬浮的木房子形式，抬高进门高度，同时踏步与客座区座榻连接。增加进门的仪式感和空间层次感，客座区域以折叠窗的开启方式向街道打开，为街道提供宜人尺度的共享设施，满足了店铺的社区属性。整体门头以蒙格拉斯木地板为主要材料，水洗石、老石板和绿植点缀，湿润的木头质感，营造自然质朴且和谐统一的日式复古空间氛围。

To increase the sense of ceremony and spatial layering when entering the door, the leisure booth area is opened to the street by folding windows, which provides a pleasant scale of shared facilities for the street and meets the community attributes of the store. The whole door head is made of the Munglas wood floor as the main material, decorated with washed stones, old slates and green plants, creating a natural, simple and harmonious Japanese retro space atmosphere. The moist wood texture is like sitting under the eaves of your own balcony.
